Useful information:
What do I need to do if I want to take part?
Come along on the day to one of the Stage Starting points – please try and be there 15 minutes before the advertised start time. Find one of the organisers – they will all be wearing fluorescent jackets. Please give them your details – this is to ensure we know who is starting and leaving each stage. They will give you an information sheet to read. Please also ensure you sign off with an organiser when you leave or finish the walk. We also want to be able to calculate the total miles covered on the day!
What to Wear and Bring?
Stout footwear, ideally walking boots or shoes, is recommended. Please bring a water bottle and a waterproof coat. We will give you a small flag to attach to your rucksack or bag. Dogs Dogs are welcome on short leads. Please note that there are some challenging stiles which some dogs may need to be lifted over. There are also livestock in some of the fields that the route passes through.
Children
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. If you child is in a pushchair then the easiest section to walk is from Whaley Bridge to Disley, or join us in Chapel and only walk to the Hanging Gate. Any support is welcome.

Come along to one of the joining points and show your support at least 15 minutes before the departure. A team will be outside Chapel Leisure Centre from 1:45pm – come and talk to us and bring cash to buy a drink and cake. The Leisure Centre is collecting for Cardiac Risk in Young (CRY) and all donations will be most welcome. Also follow us on social media for details of what you can do to help.

Please note that Chapel Leisure Centre closes at 4pm on Sunday and the gates are shut soon after so do not leave your car here if you are going to be returning after that time. There are car parks in Hope, Buxton, Dove Holes, Chapel and Whaley Bridge but please be aware of any charges.
Lead and Tail Walkers
Each section has a lead and tail walker and we ask that you walk as a group between these walkers. If you have any issues during the walk please let them know. If it is essential that you leave the walk they can arrange transport, or in an emergency, ensure someone stays with you until help arrives.
